[Faize is in what appears to be a library, a small stack of books to his left and his Elgyem sitting on the table to his right. Said Elgyem has the look of somebody who's been giving an explanation that fell on deaf ears for a decent length of time. Which is basically exactly what happened in a non-verbal sense. Poor thing.]

[Faize, on the other hand, looks considerably less irritable than he did the last time he appeared on the network. This world still bothers him, but last month's trip to Nightmare Castle was enough to get him to start giving this world and the things it has to offer a try. And he's actually come to find that some of it is rather fascinating.]

[It's the green eggs and ham effect.]

It would seem that, thusfar, humans have been unable to translate Elgyem's communicative patterns. Which is understandable, translation is a rather difficult and complicated process, especially with the level of technology this world has at its disposal and given the fact that Elgyem communicates non-verbally. [He waves a hand somewhat dismissively.] But no matter, it gives me something to work towards, I suppose.

However, this does not help me in figuring out what my Elgyem's name is. He can communicate with me psychically, but seems to only be able to do so with pictures, which is little better than patterns of blinking lights in this case. Somehow it seems strange to just call him "Elgyem" when that's the name of his entire species.

[The Elgyem in question just puts his face in his hands. Master, plz. Why is this so hard. He appreciates the thought, he really does, but he doesn't have a name. He just wants you to give him a name, like he's been trying to tell you in a variety of ways for the past several hours.]

So I guess, put simply, my question is this: how did you go about learning the names of your Pokémon?

[The feed turns on to a view of a rather oddly dressed...is that an elf? Are his ears made of metal just what is this exactly? What in the world is he even wearing? That cape. At any rate, it would appear as though the young man is at least slightly disgruntled about SOMETHING. The corners of his mouth are turned down in a small frown and his brows are ever so slightly furrowed. Though it's hard to tell exactly HOW displeased he actually is.]

My translator seems to be malfunctioning in the most bizarre fashion at the moment, so assuming any one can actually understand me right now, hello. My name is Faize Sheifa Beleth and I would like to request an actual explanation as to what exactly is going on here.

[There's a stiffness to both his words and his posture as he speaks. It's like he doesn't have a spine so much as he has an iron rod where a spine should be. His voice is even and his volume on normal levels, so it's once again hard to judge exactly what his feelings on this situation are beyond "mostly likely mildly irritated." But he's most definitely a newbie, especially with the way he stressed the word "actual." Yup, this is definitely somebody who just finished talking to Mom and the Professor. And there's his starter to prove it, an Elgyem now floating slightly behind him and looking somewhat wary. Faize pays it exactly zero attention, however.]

I no longer appear to be on Roak, though it would also seem that I am not dreaming. So I find myself at something of a loss for a logical explanation as to where exactly I am and how I got here. [A beat.] Or where the rest of my crewmates and my sword have disappeared to, for that matter. So if someone could please fill in the gaps so that I can be on my way, it would be much appreciated.

[The young man lifts his right hand, resting his fist against his left shoulder as he inclines his head briefly to the screen, eyes closed.]

My thanks in advance.
