I...see. [He gives the stranger a curious once over.] Are you unfamiliar with it because my assumption that it's an Earth holiday is incorrect? Or is it that you yourself are not an Earthling? Forgive my asking, I am merely trying to make as much sense of the situation as I can.

An Earthling? Well, I'm not of Earth, so I can say 'no' to that comment. I'm from the planet Ephinea.

[He's a little aware of the different planets and there are humans from many different ones -- though he's not really sure which planet this 'Christmas' comes from, but it does appear to be a more human custom from what he's gathered.]

Ephinea? I have never heard of such a planet, though I suppose that comes as no surprise. Just a single galaxy is big enough without considering the universe as a whole.

My apologies for my assumption, in any case. I hope I did not offend.

Hardly. Humans appear to live on many planets, from what I've been noticing. It's not unique to Ephenea nor to your Earth. It is strange, however, that a race lives in so many places -- perhaps they're all place where the climate is perfect for that.

[If anything, he does find it interesting. Something to think about.]

Perhaps. In my experience, there's always been a small physical difference of some kind between humans from different planets. [He chuckles lightly, pointing to one of his own ears.] For example, we Eldarians are human, however our ears are noticeably different than the humans of Earth.

But I am admittedly still quite new to space travel. It seems my horizons were just not broad enough. It really is all quite fascinating, though. Is it simply that humans on different planets happened to undergo identical evolutionary paths, or is there some other explanation...

[He seems oddly excited about this prospect for some reason. But thankfully catches himself before he starts rambling about lord knows what.]

Ah, but where are my manners? My name is Faize Sheifa Beleth, it's a pleasure to meet you. [He lifts his right hand to his left shoulder and inclines his head slightly.]

I'm afraid that biology is not my field of expertise nor is it hers, now that I think about it. [Excuse him as he talks to himself.] Though it is an interesting premise now that you speak of it. It is quite interesting that humans appear the same on many planets, and now that you've brought it up is something I'd like to look into.

[Oh dear, he's sparked the nerd in Hubert now. Good job.]
